CSA provides engineering and field support to the Puerto Rico Aqueduct & Sewer Authority for the Non-Revenue Water Program (PRANF). The objective of the program is to address existing operational and infrastructure issues. CSA provides more than 20 qualified experts that provide field support, conduct studies and prepare designs. Our experts include hydraulic engineers, GIS professionals, field evaluation and inspection staff, and flow and pressure measurements subconsultants that support the PRASA Regional and Planning Division staff with the necessary tools and information reach their service excellence goals.

The team analyzes macro and micro sectors to reduce water losses, leakages and resulting costs, and provides solutions to lower the energy consumption of the distribution system. During the last decade, CSA has performed several hydraulic models of various areas to improve the quality of service provided by PRASA and the quality of life of the citizens of Puerto Rico. The program has resulted in:

  • Elimination of several water treatment plants and 15 pump stations, resulting millions of dollars in operational costs.
  • Generation of new revenue through the detection of illegal connections, updates to PRASA’s GIS data base for account management
  • Vast improvements in reliability and ability to maintain operation while addressing operational problems
