Fatal Flaw Analysis

Hatillo Solar, LLC is developing a site in the Municipality of Hatillo, Puerto Rico for a photovoltaic power plant (solar farm) with a net production capacity of up to 30 Megawatts. The produced electrical power will be injected to the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) transmission grid.

Hatillo contracted CSA to conducted the required an analysis to identify any major impediments (fatal flaws) from an engineering standpoint (electrical substation proximity, access roads proximity, right of ways, site slopes, etc.) that would render a site more or less suitable for a solar farm project. The analysis also identified principal areas that may require further studies or evaluations as part of the environmental planning process for the region. This analysis provides essential information to validate the suitability of the site for a solar farm project and facilitate the client's decision making process.
