Following less than a month after Hurricane Katrina devastated large parts of the central Gulf Coast region, a new storm hit the area. Hurricane Rita was the second hurricane of the season to reach Category 5 status in the Gulf of Mexico, and the fourth–most intense Atlantic hurricane ever recorded and the most intense tropical cyclone ever observed in the Gulf of Mexico.

This project provided for the relief effort for the areas affected by Hurricane Rita. The extensive damage required managing a group of contractors and subconsultants to handle all aspects of the recovery effort. CSA provided Program management, inspection and construction management services for the Hurricane Recovery Program for various sites that were affected by Rita.
