CSA Group was contracted to provide Mechanical, Electrical Plumbing and Fire Protection engineering services for the renovation of the existing systems in the lower level of the Library building to serve as the new headquarters for the Campus Police Department. The renovated area is approximately 8,500 sq. ft. housing several offices, storage space, sleeping quarters, lockers and restroom/shower facilities. Renovations included new plumbing, to support new fixtures, new electrical power and lighting distribution and new HVAC systems to provide heating and cooling. The existing fire alarm system was modified to coordinate with the new finishes and architectural requirements. These systems will be reconnected to the existing central FA systems. The design incorporated an emergency generator to support the entire UPD facility and a new UPS to support the technical services (IT/Data, Telco and surveillance systems). 

Our engineering scope of services included a feasibility study and report, existing conditions assessment, load calculations and power distribution evaluation, assistance with the bidding process and engineering support during construction.
