Overlooking Bahia de San Juan, the San Juan Coast Guard Station is located just outside the walls of the old city of San Juan, Puerto Rico. The San Juan Station was established in 1993. Phase II of the FRC Homeport Upgrade project provides support facilities for new Coast Guard Fast Response Cutters.

The project objectives include demolition of existing Buildings 105, 106 and 107; provision of temporary facilities for functions displaced by the demolition; construction of a new Engineering Support Building and renovations to existing Building 101; site work including paving and provision of utility services for both temporary facilities and the new Engineering Support Building.

CSA was contracted as the Designer of Record (DOR) to perform the scope of work which includes Geotechnical Investigation, Utility Survey, Survey, Abatement Survey, General, Civil, Structural, Architectural, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, and Communications Design including all associated engineering, design drawings, specifications, calculations, constructions services (submittal, shop drawing, and RFI review) and as-built drawings, as required to deliver a complete and operable turn-key design in conformance with the intent of the RFP and prime contract documents. CSA also assisted with documentation required for LEED certification. This project was awarded a LEED Silver Certification for new construction.
