Converse Winkler Architecture is completing a roofing upgrade at Terminal C Hammerhead & Terminal D Concourse for the Philadelphia International Airport. CSA was asked to provide engineering services required for the evaluation of HVAC roof equipment and Design of a temporary odor control system in conjunction with these upgrades.

Our scope of work included:

  • Review of existing building design documents
  • Survey existing HVAC Units relative to the requirements of this project.
  • Prepare the documents, diagrams and specifications
  • Establish preventive measure to ensure no odor dissipate into the terminal buildings during construction such as External I modified Filter system at the intake or adaptive component to divert the intake away from the odor source
  • Evaluate the unit capacity for the additional static pressure imposed by the added filter/ component
  • Provide construction administration services during the construction phase of the project
