The Murrell Dobbins High School, originally built in 1937, has a rich historical character and unique art deco design. The facility is situated in the Central Region of the Philadelphia School District where it currently supports an educational population of approximately 850 in grades 9-12, with a projected future enrollment of 1,000 students. Renovation plans include the addition of a new athletic complex and a variety of priority improvements to the existing architecture, mechanical and electrical systems to respond to new emerging technologies, instructional advancements, life safety matters and overall quality of the learning environment, to bring the facility into compliance with current codes and standards, while implementing broad programmatic reconfiguration of the existing buildings internal spaces.
